Safety in Impress

Safety in the work place is a key objective for all Impress employees and is measured constantly through individual accident reports, detailed follow up programmes and key performance indicator reporting.

Some recent initiatives:

Skrivany
Skrivany was one of only two Czech Republic companies in 2005 to be recognised for the best regional personnel project "Health Education and Safety Behaviour support" by Credit Suisse and Fincentrum

The plant has worked with local schools where the children provided pictures for the plant's 2006 Safety Behaviour Calendar.

Merthyr Tydfil
The plant at Impress Merthyr Tydfil, U.K. has been awarded the prestigious Sword of Honour by the British Safety Council. This outstanding achievement followed the 5 Star Award in September 2007, and the Council's International Award together with the 4 Star Award in 2006. The Business Development Unit of Coleg Gwent, one of the UK's largest further education colleges, has supported the plant through Health & Safety Training. The turn-around in the approach to safety has also had a positive impact on quality, absenteeism and morale.
