In the growing dry baby food market there has been consolidation of in-house can production allied to the development of innovative closures. The recently introduced rectangular babyfood can has a modern image with a convenient closure system and optimises both pallet and shelf space. Our range of ends for this market is specially adapted for dry foods and includes Easy Open ring-pull ends and Easy Peel® ends which were first introduced through one of Impress' founding companies, Schmalbach - Lubeca, in the 1980s.
In 2002 we were the first to introduce Direct Peel® Ends, a novel opening system which applies a peelable aluminium membrane directly to the inside of the can body, without the need for a seaming ring, delivering even more cost and value benefits to our customers and consumers.
