Award winning Tripod® can supports Heinz launch

Impress innovation used for Petit Navire launch of new products.

Heinz have launched three new tuna based products in France under the Petit Navire brand using innovative packaging supplied by Impress plants in Moëlan, Schweighouse and La Flèche. Utilizing a new concept in two piece can technology, Tuna steaks are packed in the novel Tripod® can unveiled recently at Interpack 2005. Additional product ranges, ’Petite Salade’ and ‘Les Délices de Thon’, complete the line up of new products for 2005.

Darne de Thon in Tripod® cans

Awarded the Deutscher Verpackungs Wettbewerb award at Interpack 2005, the Tripod® can proved the ideal container for Petit Navire’s tuna steaks.
The unique shape of the 195ml bowl makes it easy to remove the whole steak, completely intact. The asymmetrical shape is also ideal for holding the
steak in position during processing and transport and enables the cans to be easily stacked on store display shelves. The 99mm diameter Easy Peel®
closure ensures very easy opening without splashing. The modern design of the Tripod® can underscores the product’s upmarket positioning; an image that is further enhanced using lacquer coated aluminium for the bowl and by high quality printing of both the bowl and the Easy Peel® lid where the ring housing the aluminium foil is also coloured in blue for additional impact.

Petite Salade in fluted bowls

Once again, the Easy Peel® end is featured for ease of opening for the range, ‘Petite Salade’. Presented in a 99mm diameter, 212ml aluminium fluted two piece bowl, the two varieties in the range, ‘Riz et Thon’ and ‘Taboulé’ can be eaten straight from the container. Attractive and colourful offset
printing of the bowl gives the products a strong shelf presence.

Convenient bowls for Les Délices de Thon

With two classical varieties, Catalane and Cocktail, and two original recipes, Indienne and Moutarde, this new range is presented in 73mm diameter aluminium bowls with Easy Peel® ends. Predistortion printing of the 142ml bowls together with printing of the ends with eyecatching designs and distinctive colours creates an attractive proposition for consumers.
