Impress shape is new to Australia

As Australia embraces the waisted can, produced by Impress at their Norwich Plant in the UK, Impress believes there is no global limit!

After successfully promoting and selling this beautiful packaging solution to Impress customers in the UK, Impress extended its geographical areas in Europe to include: Germany, France, Italy, Poland and Hungary. Now Impress Group BV is delighted to announce that its innovative, award winning waisted can appeals to the Australians. The can, supplied to Orica Pty Ltd. by Impress Metal Packaging, Norwich, was recently launched on the Australian market.

Orica is a manufacturer of paint and woodcare coatings, with brands such as Dulux and Cabot’s made under licence. The waisted can is being used for a clear polyurethane woodcare coating called Cabothane. Orica recognises the expertise of Impress, the quality of the waisted can that stands out on the shelf, and the ability of Impress to actively respond to the demands of the consumer and market trends. Impress is providing real added value for packaging and product.

The distinctive waist to this cylindrical can is a particularly attractive feature and makes the can easy to hold for convenience of use. “The visual appeal of the can and easy to old design is already attracting good consumer and retailer feedback,” says Lisa Madigan, Orica Woodcare Marketing Manager.

The look is achieved by post manufacture forming and the can is ideally suited to the many small production runs, typical of a paint brand.
