New Chief Executive for Impress

The Managing Board of Impress Holdings B.V. today has announced that Mme Dominique Damon, Chief Executive Officer, has decided to leave the Impress Group. Mr Francis Labbé will succeed her as CEO with immediate effect.

Francis held executive positions at Schlumberger and Valeo before joining CarnaudMetalbox, now part of Crown Cork & Seal, in 1993, where he later became Executive Vice-President of CCK's Food, Aerosols and Specialty Products Division. In 2000 he became Executive Group Director of Rexam Packaging plc, responsible for the Plastics and Glass Division.

Impress' majority shareholder Doughty Hanson & Company commented:

'Dominique has been CEO of Impress since its creation in 1997 and has overseen its evolution from a very disparate group of independent companies to a single, high performance, integrated packaging group. The Board expresses its appreciation of her efforts through this challenging period and wishes her well in her future career.

'We are very pleased to have been able to secure a senior packaging executive of Francis' stature and experience to succeed Dominique and lead Impress through the next phase of its development. He is well

qualified to drive further improvements in the company's operational and financial performance and to meet the expectations of all its stakeholders.'
