Under the auspicious patronage of the Ministère de l’Agriculture, de l’Alimentation, de la Pêche et des Affaires Rurales, the ceremony for the 11th Journée Nationale de l’Appertise celebrated Impress success as three out of the six ‘Nicolas de I’Appertisé 2004’ awards were made for packaging featuring Easy Peel® closures.
The prestigious ‘Meilleur Emballage’ award was received by Impress for the 142ml aluminium printed bowl with Easy Peel® closure. The innovative container also collected the ‘Coup de Coeur Jeunes’ award adding to the bronze medal in the Consumer Appeal Category awarded by the MPMA earlier in the year. This contemporary design has been used to great effect by Conserves de France to introduce the St Mamet Envie de Fruits range of fruit desserts. Bringing a new concept to the sector, the products appeal to younger consumers and reflect the image of dairy fresh products. The single serve packs are designed for direct consumption and with the easy to open lid, are particularly ideal for the school lunch box.
The ‘Coup de Coeur’ was awarded for aluminium bowls designed for meat and fish salads. The 314ml bowls with 99mm diameter closures feature Easy Peel® ends which are safe and easy to open. Pre-distortion printing in six attractive colours gives excellent shelf presence to attract consumers. The latest producer to take advantage of this packaging format is Hénaff for a range of meat based salads which are being marketed in four varieties: Salade Printanière, Salade Piémontaise, Salade Provençale and Salade Italienne. Through Impress developments and production excellence, the modern opening and fresh image is creating an opportunity for Hénaff to differentiate its products and to develop a new market sector.
